Founder and Managing Director

Boey Tze Zhou (Boey) is the founder and Managing Director of EKO Agro Biotech Sdn. Bhd. (Reg. No.: 771352-T) with the responsibility for leading the overall direction of the organization. Boey is also the Managing Director of EKO Biotechnology. EKO Agro Biotech Sdn. Bhd. was registered after the requisition of a piece of land in TKPM Juru for mushroom project. Prior of setting up EKO Biotechnology, Boey has just graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He holds a bachelor of Agricultural Science with first class honour. It was his target to involve in mushroom industry since he was 18 years old. With his passionate and innovation spirit towards mushroom cultivation, he completed his final year project entitled: "Effect Of Cultured Conditions and Inoculum Types On Mycelial Development and Fruiting In Pleurotus Sajor-caju." Through this research project, Boey proved that, with the utilization of liquid spawn, it did improve the efficiency in oyster mushroom cultivation. Recently, he is introducing the technology into mushroom industry in Malaysia and he strongly believed that this will cause revolution to mushroom industry in Malaysia. Others than that, he did his internship at the only specialized mushroom farm in Singapore. This precious experience has broaden his view and idea about mushroom farm management and marketing, as well as oversea market.

He was awarded "Royal Education Award" (Anugerah Pelajaran Diraja) and Faculty of Agriculture Award during his convocation at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
