The exclusive brand of Boey's Mushroom was founded by Mr Boey Tze Zhou. He got his ambitious of growing mushroom since 2008 when he was at the age of 18 years old. He scored CGPA 4.0 in his Pre-U examination. However, he gave up the chance of studying medical doctor and chose agriculture to chase after his dream. In the year 2012, Mr Boey graduated with first-class honour in Bachelor Degree of Agricultural Science, major in mushroom research at UPM. He was the winner of Royal Education Award by Sultan Selangor during convocation.

After graduation, he started a small scale mushroom farm at his own house at Seberang Perai, Penang with limited capital. Mr Boey was so passionate about mushroom farming as he believed Malaysians should consume more mushroom to obtain greater health. In the year 2013, Boey's Mushroom established a very successful modern mushroom farm in Juru, Penang. He designed and invented a modern mushroom farm as he believed that a modernized mushroom farm is so important for sustainable mushroom production.

In the year 2020, Boey's Mushroom successfully growing to the next level by multiplying the mushroom production. He expanded another large scale modern mushroom farm at Kuala Kurau, Parit Buntar, Perak. Through this expansion, the daily production is able to achieve 2 ton of mushrooms!

Today, Boey's Mushroom not just producing fresh mushroom to the local market only but also diversified into mushroom-related down-stream production such as mushrooms chip and mushroom supplement. He believed that growing high quality of mushroom locally for Malaysian is a top priority and this also helps to enhance our Malaysia’s food security.
